Not sure if we said that enough. We are back at the studio in good ol’ Huntsville, AL putting out new content such as, GRANDMA’S BIRTHDAY! But we can’t thank Mojang enough for such a great event at Minecon, and just making the game in general, and of course getting us to host a panel at minecon, and all of you who attended and filled up the room! It was truly amazing. I thought I was going to tear up a bit at the standing ovation you gave us! It was the most fun weekend in my entire life. Getting to meet you all and spend time with you even for the few minutes for some, and for drinks and dinner with others. It was absolutely amazing. Thank you!
So, now that we are back, I’ve got a ton of stuff to do at my day job, so I’ll be absent from the internetz while I get this stuff done for some dec deadlines, but I’ll try to get more posts out here, and on my blog: http://www.brentcopeland.com and of course, GO SUBSCRIBE to our youtube channel so you know when the next episode is coming out of one of our series!

The DWPP is a small affair compared to big cons. With only 40ish attendees it is small in comparison. And HARD to get sponsors to see the value in donating goods. That is why we appreciate the sponsors even more than they know.
So far, we have been sponsored by these great companies and are waiting on a few more possibilities.
dealnews.com - Has donated an 80port switch so we can have an incredible lan set up for gaming!
LethalDrive - Who is donating a Prize of a FREE 512MB server for 3 months with Free mysql/debranding/managed plugins package!
Curse - Who is donating 5 premium accounts as prizes
Bawls - Who has donated stickers, keychains and mints
Valve - Who has donated 24 codes for TFC & some swag.
Makers Local 256 - Will be running a Minecraft tourney with custom code to keep track of your items!
Ruggbys - They will be donating use of the NTN trivia system and appetizers for our Trivia Lunch!
We hope that everyone appreciates them as much as we do, and take the time to check out their websites and see what they have to offer.
If you use the curse network, think about getting the premium service. It’s really worth it. If you are thirsty and need some refreshment to keep you up gaming, go grab a Bawls. And if you are buying a PC game, check out steam and buy it there first before any other service! Not to mention, a bunch of new items in the Valve store! And don’t forget, Makers Local 256, always up to something geeky and interesting. So head over to their site and find out how you can get involved! And if you play Minecraft — Got get you a server from Lethal Drive! They have a great package just for our listeners (coupon code ‘theshaft’)
Also, if you are a company looking for a bit of press, we will be putting all sponsors on the sponsors page. I’ll add new ones here. We’ll be having their names streaming throughout the convention on the live stream, and we’ll be giving them a big thank you on our post shows.
It may not be too late to mail stuff in, but we can definitely give out digital goods as well. And a big hearty thank you from us and all our fans! Just email me at: brent@deadworkers.com

The Invite that No One Got
Luckily. A little more about the shafties to explain. It all started when our actual plans for Ep 50 fell through, and we were thinking of ideas for something special. Boxxie threw out the idea of an awards show, and it sounded fun, and fairly easy.
So, I set up a form with a bunch of categories and started taking submissions. It was going to be something simple. Us just doing a little counting and then giving out the top 4 and then the winner.
Well, you get us all together and a room and we can take the simplest idea and turn it into something else that’s not so simple. And this was no exception. First it just turned into an audio production with some humorous bits, but then we filmed on the greenscreen and thought about what we could do for the live show. If we had only started a week or two sooner.
Anyways, so we spent all day saturday writing and brainstorming and filming. And then the next 14 hours editing and rendering. I don’t even want to talk about the issues of rendering, but it’s been the most fun editing I’ve done in awhile. I am honored to have friends and coworkers like the ones in the DWP. They amaze me at every turn.
Back to the photo though. As you can see, it says 3pm Central, which is the normal time, but after being up for so long, we decided to push the time to later so we could atleast get a few hours of sleep before going on air, so maybe fate played a part in me forgetting to post this photo on Friday before the weekend started.
In the end, it’s just a long story and a way for me to still be able to post the photo. Enjoy! Maybe I’ll change it and point it to the youtube video instead.
